What Actions Do You Plan to Take to Continue Your Recovery Following Inpatient Rehab?

Drug addiction recovery is a lengthy process that needs the dedication of the addict as well as those closest to them. The journey may involve some risk, but the payoff will be worthwhile in the end. Even after detox and inpatient or residential treatment, some care is still necessary to maintain the recovery process.

Oftentimes, the best course of action is to engage in either partial or full outpatient therapy. Caregivers can help people go about their daily lives in peace while providing support. Inner Voyage Recovery offers three different outpatient programs that you can choose from. No matter how much time they spend with you, they are all trying to make sure you succeed.

Program for Partial Hospitalization, or PHP

You’re not yet ready to live alone, even if you don’t need constant supervision. Many times a week, people come to PHP for medical checkups and treatment. PHP uses a lot of the same resources as an inpatient treatment facility. This could cause very little disruption to your morning routine, lasting a few hours.

Many people undergoing PHP are still getting used to their new routines or are acting in ways that could trigger a drug relapse if they are not closely watched. But they don’t need to be rehabilitated away from home or in a sober living facility because their symptoms are not alarming.

    Inpatient Outpatient Program, or IOP

The Inner Voyage Recovery Center is another location where this program is offered. IOP and PHP differ primarily in that IOP involves less time and effort. PHP patients might only need to visit the rehab facility for one to three hours every day, as opposed to IOP.

Even though IOP patients are frequently more adaptable, they still need some structure in their lives in order to feel comfortable. As they move through the program, patients might attend fewer appointments before moving into an entirely outpatient setting.

    Outpatient Program, or OP

For patients who have finished all rounds of therapy with minimal to no recurrence, this is the optimal course of action. They may only attend once or twice a week for treatment. These conversations typically touch on the patient’s mental health as a part of their illness or provide encouragement for their advancement.

After completing residential treatment, few people go directly to outpatient treatment (OP) and it may require multiple visits to the facility to be accepted as an eligible patient.

What’s the Best Program for You?

You’re not alone if you’re not sure which program is right for you. The doctors at Inner Voyage Recovery Center will be able to guide you after a physical.

They will welcome you with optimism and provide you with an open approach to help you understand your drug misuse and what caused it in the first place when you join one of their recovery programs. The team will test you for a dual diagnosis in addition to therapy because drug use can be significantly impacted by mental health conditions.

There are options for both group and individual therapy in each program. Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), family counseling, and comprehensive treatment are all included in these programs. You might also receive medicine from the Inner Voyage Recovery Center to help with any lingering withdrawal symptoms.

Anyone can heal, and everyone has the opportunity to do so. All that’s needed are the right people and methods. You can build a sense of self-worth that will enable you to rehabilitate into a more sober version of yourself, regardless of the kind of outpatient therapy that is most helpful for you. When you’re prepared to start, the Inner Voyage Recovery Center is here to help.
